Teaching Philosophy

Dr. Ziauddin Intermediate College promotes a progressive learning culture. Students are encouraged to benefit from contemporary learning practices such as blended and online learning. The faculty promotes experiential learning, and often teach through real-life, contemporary examples. All instruction is culturally inclusive, with equality and mutual respect as the institution’s guiding principles.

Periodic Assessments

All students are assessed regularly to track their academic progress.

The students are assessed through:

  • Assignments
  • Classroom activities
  • Presentations
  • Class tests
  • Class quizzes
  • Monthly tests
  • Mid-term exams
  • Preliminary (mock) examinations

All in-class activities are marked and thereby part of the internal assessment. These activities supplement academic learning and improve the students’ chances of scoring well in the examinations conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK).

Parent Relations

As a policy, DZIC keeps parents informed of their children’s progress, through online reports, text messages and official letters. Furthermore, Parent-Teacher meetings are conducted thrice a year to facilitate candid discussions and resolve any behavioral issues.
